Open access policy
We strongly believe in open access to information, which is a cornerstone of Horizon Europe. It is not just about democratising scientific knowledge: having an informed society will make us freer and better decision-makers.
At ASTERISK, we want to ensure that our research papers, deliverables, and communication materials are freely accessible to all. That is why we have created our own space in Zenodo, an open access repository developed under the framework of the European OpenAIRE programme.

Public deliverables
What is a deliverable?
In European projects such as ASTERISK, deliverables are concrete tasks to be completed within a defined deadline. They are established at the beginning of the project, and the partners commit themselves to carry them out and to justify their execution. There are many types of deliverables, and their format varies depending on the type of work involved: they can be technical reports showing data, results of experiments or prototypes, communication and dissemination plans, or economic and management reports.
Some deliverables are public and can be consulted by the citizens while others, more sensitive, are only accessible to the European Union as a guarantee that the project is progressing and achieving the expected results.
What is its importance in a project like ASTERISK?
Deliverables are not only a useful tool, but a necessary one for huge projects with a long lifetime: they help us demonstrate that our work is progressing effectively, with measurable metrics. Internally, they help us organise our work by breaking the project down into small tasks and milestones. In addition, the fact that some deliverables are public allows the European citizens to see the progress we are making with the European funding.
